18 kids + goopy stuff + permission to get messy and creative = A GREAT DAY.
We made these plaster masks by first applying plaster bandages, then decorating with paint and glue and glittery bits. Some applied the bandages to a plastic mask "blank", while others braved doing it right on their face. It was a full day, with 2 classes, split by age, morning and afternoon. While the masks dried, we learned about face feature placement and the colour wheel. Each month we'll tackle a new project. The energy of the kids and parents (who were very generous with their time, helping) was so similar to that of the Community Shared Agriculture. I was thrilled to have been a part of this and am looking forward to seeing them all again.
